The Ideology of the Unknown! “How to Live In It As a Christian” Part II

This is what it means to walk in the unknown zone as a Christian. Consider the world dark and the lighted path your objective. No need to search the darkness for a path or to see what’s out there in curiosity. That’s the temptation of forbidden knownledge that leads to evil. Stick with the lighted path and be oblivious to what surrounds you. How is this in practical application?

  1. The fact that the economy is crashing is none of your concern, you do not need the details. Reject that forbidden knowledge. God’s promise of provision should be sufficient. Your goal is to search his word for the lighted path and be obedient to follow. No matter how scary or uncertain the path may look its lighted by the power of God. Remember that.
  2. The fact that someone has juicy gossip on a friend or co-worker, they are willing to share with you is not your concern. Reject that forbidden knowledge before it taints your ability to witness to that person because of what you’ve found out.
  3. The thoughts and lusts of a sexual encounter with someone of interest, is not your business. Reject those thoughts and maintain your path on the light before you choose sin.
  4. The curiosity on what it would be like taking a specific drug, is knowledge you do not need. Reject that temptation and remain steadfast on your walk in the light.
  5. The desire to be part of the in crowd and experiencing what that is like, is not worth the wrong choices you will have to make to be accepted. Knowing what they know and being apart of that group will lead you away from the lighted path. Reject the curiosity and desire to be part of the group.
  6. You can reject the knowledge of the doctors determination for your future because of a medical prognosis. All you need to know is that Jesus Christ is a healer and your faith in his word is all you need to be healed. It is available to you.

I can continue to go down this list with practical applications of rejecting the worlds knowlege and choosing to walk in that ‘unknown zone’ where you follow the word of God’s path. Unfortunately I have to addres the blarring sirens that are going off in your head, telling you, that I am proposing you stick your head in the sand. That I want others to live a life that is nieve, making people vulnerable to the evil in this world and the circumstances that surroud them. This could not be further from the truth. There are three questions that need to be asked here;

  1. What knowledge are you leaning on when you claim the need to know protects you from evil?
  2. Are you aware the desire to know, is born from a place of judgement?  Are you capable of sitting in the judgment seat of God?
  3. Is your faith too weak to trust in God for the unkonwn things of life?

Answer#1

You guessed it, you are relying on the same corrupted knowledge the serpent provided Adam and Eve in the garden and it did not work. They chose to know and that sin of disobedience damned mankind. Why is it that you need to know? Who told you that you need to know everything in order to move forward? What do you hope to accomplish by knowing? It is the devil’s world system that has conformed our minds to always lean on our own understanding and not on God’s. Remember that everytime you feel the urge to pursue forbidden knowledge regardless of what it pertains to in your life. Leave the unknown to God he know’s best. Trust in God, that through his Holy Spirit in us, he will warn, guide and protect you from all evil. It is not encumbant upon us to know the how in life, only that with God and in God, all things are possible.

Answer#2

Are you aware that once you gain access to that information you are placed in the seat of judgement. The devil was right in one thing, the knowledge of good and evil did make us like (in common letters) God. In other words it put us in the place we should never have been, in the seat of judgement to determine right from wrong. Now we are forced to use our limited logic and knowledge to judge, what is right or wrong to do. Oh don’t deny it. That is why 100% of people desire to know, so they can judge for themselves. I am sure you heard that before. Can you truly judge a situation or a person without all the information? To not recognize that you are and always will be, coming from a place of being uninformed is disingenuous. You lack the knowledge of man’s thoughts, intentions, past hurts and experiences. You cannot see the trail of crumbs in someone’s life that led up to that moment in time and yet you are saying I can be the judge? Make no mistake that is what the devil did to Adam and Eve, he guided them to replace God from the seat of judgement in their lives. Relying on their own wisdom, as to what was good to eat and whether it was right or wrong to do so. God already judged it as wrong and instructed them as such. This is what the devil is having you do all day every day, be the judge in your life leaving no place for God to determine for you what is right or wrong. We wonder why the world is the way it is today? It’s because of humanities wrong judgements against people, circumstances, purpose, life etc. We have made a mess of the world playing God in our own way and it has made us ineffective in the Christian community. We are seen as judgmental instead of full of grace, love and understanding. We are spoiled children running around with the judges gavel, assulting humanity with it like a hammer, rather than making wise judgements. Instead of leading people to the ultimate judge, who has already agreed to absolve them of all guilt through is Son Jesus Christ. If only they would accept him. We have chosen to issue judgement in God’s place, totally disregarding his love and grace that he extends to us daily as well.

Answer#3

The final question trully is one that challenges our faith in God through Jesus Christ. Will we surrender and trust God to guide us through the unknown. If you are afraid to walk in the unknown zone as I describe it, totally focused on the lighted path in the darkness of this world. It then becomes a question of faith and trust. To say I will stand on your word and your word alone, regardless of the contradictions I see and feel in my life on this earth, is what it takes. Are we just empty words with no conviction? Do we believe in the verses we nonchalantly quote, in times of trouble, as some sort of Christian catch phrase? What did we think it meant when Christ said to pickup our cross and follow him as disciples? The cross which represents the crucifixtion of the flesh, is us surrending all our ego, logic, carnal knowledge, fears, lusts of the flesh, everything to God’s wisdom in the word of God. Following the illuminated path in obedience, so that He may fulfill a good work in us.

James 2:14-26

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

In reading the verses above we can see that it is imperative we begin walking in the unknown with Christ to fulfill the will of God, through the works he puts before us. What humanity failed to realise is, we were not ready as a species for the fruit from the tree of knowledge. Unfortunately we now want to arrogantly prove God wrong, by continuously showing we can bear the burden of knowledge, that we have the wisdom. This rebellious nature towards God and his will, is born from the father of lies who himself is doomed because of his rebellion. He grew jealous of the position granted to us and thought he could rule, but compare the earth now ruled by his evil principalities and powers in high places, to the garden of Eden. Where would you prefer to reside? Despite the glaring evidence of humanities failure to manage the burden of knowlege and the responsibility of judging right from wrong, we refuse to surrender and accept God’s wisdom. We continually allow satan’s world system to manipulate our egoes, emotions and flesh, to believe we can do things without God. Instead of taking responsibility for the condition of the world, because of the evil works we commit, we blame God. Another deception of the forbidden wisdom provided to the world by the number one deceiver. The truth is God took responsibility for what happened in the Garden of Eden, he sent his Son to die on the cross and pay the price for sin. Now in Christ, God’s spirit lives in us always. No longer will we be left alone, as Adam and Eve were alone with the serpent and deceived. We are not capable of defeating evil by ourselves, we need God’s word, the power of his Son’s blood and the name of Jesus Christ.

Corinthians 10:3-6

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

This is how we live in the unknown zone, by using the power given to us in the name of Jesus and pull down the false doctrines and carnal knowlege of the world in our minds. Destroy the strong holds in our lives built up by years of false teaching, by renewing our minds with the word of God.

The problem is satan is a drug dealer. He gets us high on fleshly lusts, that even though we know returning to God is right, we refuse to leave our sinful addictions behind to do so. I assume approximatelly 90% of people that reject God, do so not for ideological reasons, but because it would mean giving up their sinful lives. The word of God has a way of shinning a light in the dark areas of our lives, exposing the ugliness we’ve grown accustomed to live in.

I conclude this blog with the story of the Prodigal son as a perfect example of being enticed away by forbidden knowledge and getting lost in the darkness.

Luke 15:11-32

11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:

12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

The are the things to take away from the above verses;

  • This parable was told by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So paying attention to it is crucial for us as believers.
  • The prodigal son was given is inheritance to choose what to do. It is the same for us today we all are walking around with our inheritance, the breath of life given to us by God. What we choose to do with it is up to us, be obedient and follow God or capitulate to the desires our flesh and be led away by this carnal world system.
  • Following the desire to know the unknown and fulfill his fleshly desires left him desolate and in sin. That is always the outcome of following the flesh. Notice that in the parable the prodigal son asked a citizen of this carnal world for help. That person placed him in bondage and the people around were only there to witness his denegration into hopelessness, not to help. This is the true nature of the citizens of the carnal world, they are children of the deceiver lacking true love of God in their hearts.
  • Even in desolation everyone has a choice. A choice to follow God and surrender to his will, which is what the prodigal son did by returning to his father, admitting his wrong and willing to be a slave. He rejected the ideology and lifestyle of that world and surrendered to the will of his Father, willing to be as obedient as a slave.
  • Obedience to the will of his Father is where provision, safety and happiness existed, regardless of what life may through your way. In the prodigal son’s case it was a famine. God is always capable of sustaining his children in the midst of a storm with hidden manna.
  • Consider the actions of the prodigal son’s father. When he saw his son a ways off returning to him, he ran to ebrace him with love and kisses. Jesus told this parable so we will understand the heart of God. When we truly repent and turn back to God, he runs to us in joy eager to shower us with love, forgiveness and provision. He does not wait until we are all clean contrary to today’s christian belief. The prodigal son was a slave in a pig pen, eating pigs food. Think of his condition returning to his father, yet his father did not wait until he was cleaned up and presented to him, he went after him and embraced his son even in his filth. If that is not love I don’t know what is and this parable is about our Father in heaven.
  • Notice the focus of the father’s heart in this parable. He did not care about the wealth squandered, the defilment of his son’s flesh, just that his son repented came to his senses and wanted to walk in obedience with his father again. Even when his brother who served his farther honorably became jealous, his father redirected his brother’s jealousy. All that was important was that he did not lose his son to the darkness, that he returned and was home again in the light.

God wants us to return to the Father-Child relationship he had with humanity. He tells us what we need to know and we obey. As our Father he takes care of the rest, provision, protection, etc. Isn’t that the way we trust in our earthly Dad’s? As children we do what they tell us to do and rely on them to have food on the table and a roof over our heads. Kids don’t need to know about mortgages, loans, interest, investments, etc. If we were to burden them with that knowledge and the deadlines to pay bills, knowing they were not equipped to hanlde such responsibility, how would it affect that child? Their immaturity and limited capabilities, would destroy their childhood and development. They would make many detrimental mistakes, end up a slave to debt, an actual slave, homeless and possibly starve to death if they were left alone to bear those burdens. Sounds familiar? As sad as it is the world has examples of this today, where parentless children that are abandoned, become slaves, starve to death and taken advantage of by evil people. Maybe this is why christ said this;

Matthew 18:2-4

And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

God wants to save his lost creation and return them to him as his children. I speculate God’s intention was to mature Adam and Eve spiritually, until they were mature enough to handle the fruit from the tree of good and evil. If he did not have future intentions for the tree, why would he plant it in the garden of Eden? We are immature to the wisdom and understanding needed to manage the knowledge of good and evil. Now we are required to surrender our ego, logical thinking, worldly knowledge and wisdom to God, because we’ve been tainted. Allow God to lead and direct us, not knowing the destination or the paths he is choosing for us to travel. Such child like surrender would require total trust in the person guiding you. In this case it is God your creator, asking you to apply your faith and trust in his word, his knowledge and wisdom. The truth is in order to live in the world of the unknown, you have to have faith, because the ways of God seems as foolishness to the world, only because their wisdom is limited and tainted by false truths.
