The Biblical Cure for Heart Disease.

This may seem like a topic I am not qualified to have an opinion on. I’m not a medical doctor, nurse or some wholistic nutirtionists. What I am though is a child of God that seeks the wisdom of God in his word. I truly desire to know God and his Son Jesus Christ and I believe the word of God is the key. I must prefice this blog with the fact that the heart I am referring to in this blog, is not the physical heart of man, but the spiritual heart. It is more important to man than a physical heart, because it determines whether they will choose life or death eternally. The heart is what God searches when he is determining the measure of a man. Does his word exist there? Is his Kingdom rule living in the heart of men?

This topic came about because I have had heart issues in my walk with Christ so many times. They were all birthed from sins that easily beset me over and over again, which took my faith and made me insecure in my salvation. Guilt bore down on me so hard, I was condeming myself for being so weak, that I could not see my worth to God himself. It took time for me to reccuperate, hearing God’s love in his teachings, as well as hearing the Holy Spirit minister to my heart in love. Reminding me that repentance not condemnation, is all that is required and my sins are already washed away. The Holy Spirit reminded me that my worth to God was not wrapped up in what I did, but who I was in Christ, a believer. I’m sorry if I am rambling on about my short comings, but I think its important to be transparent. It sets the stage for the reason why my pursuit for a cure was so important. I know there are many other brother’s and sisters out there in the church that are currently infected with this disease in their hearts. Hopefully in this blog they can find an answer and a cure.

As mentioned before the heart I am referring to is not physical in nature. It is the center most part of a man’s spirit, that truly reflects who he is and what he believes. The true nature and convictions of a man is in his heart, this is why the bible says God is more interested in our hearts, because he knows if he can transform our hearts, he can change us inside out. Look at the following verse:

1 Samuel 16:7

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

In order to find a cure, you have to understand the disease. To determine what the disease may be, you have to invesitgate the symptoms. Here are some of the symptoms of a Christian whose heart is infected;

  1. Extreme lack of faith for the basic necessities in life.
  2. Constant worrying.
  3. Pessimistic attitude.
  4. Characterized as ‘glass half empty’ personality type.
  5. Spiritual Impotence.
  6. Weak and lacking prayer life.

These are just a few of the symptoms that can help you identify when someone or yourself is infected. Infected with what? What infection is causing this disease? The same disease Adam was infected with in the garden of Eden, that is DOUBT!!. All the syptoms I listed including many others stem from one disease that affects the heart of man and it is doubt. “Is it not sin, the disease that affects the heart?” Sin is a by product of the doubt that infects the hearts of men. How do I know? Well in Genesis Chp 3, we see the serpent infects Eve and then Adam with the disease of doubt. Prior to their sin of disobedience, sin did not exist in the Garden, so it was not sin in their hearts that caused humanity to fall. It was doubt, that infected their belief system and it led to sin.

Not many people realise how powerful and detrimental Doubt can be to the heart of a Christian. In this blog I intend to expose the truth behind the disease that affects the hearts of Christians, in the hope that they will then begin to purge their hearts of it and truly be free in Christ. As expected we will begin with the definition of the word that represents the disease, ‘Doubt’.

DOUBT:

  • a feeling of not knowing what to believe or what to do, or the condition of being uncertain.
  • to be uncertain about something or someone, or to have difficulty believing something.

When studying this topic I was shaken to my core, when I realised how simple it was to be decieved to doubt, and how powerful the consequences were for wavering. This is why I classified Doubt as an infectious disease that attacks the hearts of believers. It is like an infectious virus that just grows and grows until it controls its host. To best describe what I have studied I need to go back to Genesis, where the first Adam was deceived into doubting the word of God. Prior to the serpent, Adam fully trusted God which led to his obedience. In his face to face relationship with God since his creation, Adam had no reason or desire to question God or His motives. Don’t forget Adam was made in the image and likeness of God so he had free will, yet he never deviated his will from God’s. Until the serpent infected Eve, who facilitated in infecting Adam. Have you ever wondered why the serpent went to Eve and not Adam? I often wondered that, but I think the word of God gives us a clue in the verses. When the serpent questioned Eve on God’s word, she responded with the truth, but added in something that God did not say’ “You must not touch it.” That minor deviation from God’s word revealed to the serpent that Eve was vulnerable for deception. If you do not truly know the word of God and have understanding of it, you are vulnerable for deception and can be infected. Adam was not approached because he knew the word of God, spoken directly to him and therefore could not be easily decieved, by twisting the truth. He was deceived, by trusting his eyes, when he saw his wife Eve eat and not physically die, just as the serpent said. He believed the serpents deception and then committed the sin of disobedience, not knowing the death was a spiritual one, separated from God.There is so much to unpack here on this topic, but I will move on to focus on the disease of the heart.

Study Note: Notice how both their eyes were opened only after Adam ate of the fruit of good and evil. When Eve ate the bible does not say her eyes were opened, only after Adam ate. Evidence that until the first Adam committed the sin, the consequence was not applied to humanity. That is why when the second Adam (Jesus) died for our sin, his blood covered all of humanities sins, but only in Christ.

Adam became infected with doubt that targeted the word of God given to him. Not just any word God gave him, but the word that protected humanity from spiritual and physical death. Remember the word of God says the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. He could not touch the annointed Adam directly, so he infected Adam to lead humanity to spiritual death no longer in communion with God. He is jealous of the love and relationship we have with God. How imperfect we are yet God lavishes his vast love, favor and mercy on us endlessly. God’s only begotten Son’s death, shows the priority we have in God’s heart. The devil believes we are not worthy of such affection and love and is bent on prooving that to God every time he gets. His method is deception, which he uses to infect us with doubt. If he succeeds our hearts become sick and diseased.

The serpent tried the same thing with the second Adam Jesus Christ in the desert. When he questioned Jesus on God’s word, searching for any deviation or lack of understanding he could exploit, there was none. There are two key things to observe in this encounter;

  1. The devil could not use his cunning by deceving Christ through his sight, because if you read the word, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert. He was not walking by sight, but was being led by the spirit.
  2. Jesus knew the word of God completely, because he is the word in flesh. In the end the devil was unable to infect Christ with doubt and left.

Christ surrendered his will to God the Father, all the way to the cross and ressurection. There was no doubt in his heart that God’s Word and Will was only his purpose to fulfill. Christ had complete faith and trust no deviation, regardless of how hard circumstances became. It resulted in salvation, complete forgiveness for our sins and the opportunity to reconnect with our Creator and Father in Heaven forever. This is why the devil infects with doubt, to prevent the power of God’s Word being active in our hearts. The results are immeasurable, because God’s word does not contain limits. Look at what the word says about doubt;

James 1: 6-8

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

The devil is fully aware that if our hearts become infected with doubt, we begin to waver in our belief on the word of God. Then he can interject false wisdom in our minds, crazy life circumstances to affect our emotions and eventutally guide us off course to sin(disobedience) and distruction. Our hearts hold the core of what we believe, our convictions and who we really believe we are. This is why the bible says we should hide the word of God in our hearts, because if the word of God becomes the basis of our convictions and belief system, then the power in the word is released in and over our lives. I hope you are now beginning to see and understand that many christian brothers and sisters are suffering from a heart disease. An infection of doubt is clear, when you consider the syptoms they exhibit. I will prove to you using the word how dangerous it is to have an infection of doubt in our hearts.

PETER WALKING ON WATER:

Matthew 14: 28-30

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

Observe that Peter had no doubt in his heart when Christ told him to come, that he would walk on the water as well. In his heart, he had the conviction, that if Jesus told him to come, he would go and walk on the water. The word given to him from God was ‘Come’, he believed it and miraculously walked on water. What happened next was the infection of doubt. How was he infected? He allowed his mind to process and bring logic (his own wisdom), to what was happening and what he was feeling. When his limited logic (wisdom) began to doubt the possibility of actually walking on water, considering the conditions surrounding him, he began sinking. Doubt had infected his heart and challenged the word God gave him. It was powerful enough to pull Peter out of experiencing a miracle, even when Christ was standing right there!

Matthew 13:53-58

53 And when Jesus had finished these parables, he went away from there, 54 and coming to his hometown he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these mighty works? 55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? 56 And are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” 57 And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.” 58 And he did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.

Here is an example where the people of Jesus’s home town, lost out on the miraculous touch from God, because of the doubt that infected their hearts. The light of the world walked into their synagoges, taught them in such a way that their hearts were astonished at the wisdom of Jesus. The evidence of his mighty works were present for them to witness. Yet once again doubt infected their hearts, questioning the diety of Christ, attempting to make him appear as a common man. The once enlightened teachings and mighty works lost its power in their hearts, because their hearts became diseased. The bible says he did not do many mighty works there, because of unbelief. If you read on in the bible it says Christ left and moved on into the desert to ponder on John’s death, there he met with a multitude of people that he healed. Then he performed the popular miracle of multiplying the 5 loaves and 2 fish to feed 5000 men beside women and children. Clearly the issue is not with the Lord, it is with the people who are full of unbelief in their hearts.

NB: In these two instances I noticed that the doubt trailed after the actual miraculous events conducted by Jesus. They did not show up before, but like a shadow came after. Are we Christians today living in a shadow world of dobut rather than in the light that is going before us? In order to walk in the light our hearts can’t be sick with doubt. This gives new meaning to the words of King David in Psalms 119, where it states’ “Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”. If we believe without a doubt, the word of God, we walk in the light; if doubt infects our hearts then we walk in the shadows. Just enough light to keep moving forward, but not enough to see all the snares and dangers to avoid.

Here is another example of doubt, uncertainty and unbelief affecting the very disciples of Christ. The ones who walked with Him on earth and witnessed his miraculous works first hand.

Mathew 17 17:20

17Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. 18And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. 19Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

This event is so pivotal, that every Christian should ponder what Christ says here, as it would apply to them as they try to stand on the promises of God. The diciples went to Christ to find out ‘the why‘ and ‘the what‘ for their unsuccess and Jesus was clear that its not the lack of ‘know how‘, its the lack of faith which stems from doubt(unbelief). If you are a true Christian, then you believe Jesus is the word of God in flesh. He is the Son of God and evertyhing He says and does, is truth guided by the Father in heaven. Then consider what Christ’s says in verse 20 above seriously. Pure faith, uncompromised by doubt has the power in our lives to make anything possible. DO WE TRULY BELIEVE THIS AS CHRISTIANS IN OUR HEARTS!!!!!!

What if we actually lived our lives with hearts full of the promises of God, wearing blinders of conviction and perseverance………………………………………..

This heart disease has caused us to miss out on many prayer requests we have made to God. The waves of life and circumstances of this world’s reality, bog us down into a lake of spiritual depression. When the word of God says in Proverbs 12:13 “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh it is a tree of life“, the sickness that infects the heart is doubt, which ultimatley affects the prayer life of a believer. Its from that place we pray to God; empty, powerless and faithless prayers that go unanswered. The bible is clear that God will not asnwer prayers that are based in unbelief. We have forgotten just like Peter Jesus has called us as well;

Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

How are we going to respond? In Peter’s case his first verbal response could be construed as doubt’ “Lord if it is you“. It isn’t, it is more of a clarification, but then he followed it up with a promise of faith, “command me to come to you on the water“. Christ knew that Peter’s faith was where it needed to be to perform this miracle and so he commanded him to come. Is Christ saying come to us, but we are either not hearing his voice over the noise of life or is it that we don’t know his voice. The above verse says, “take my yoke upon you and learn of me“. Have we spent the time to know Christ and the word of God more, so that when he says come it is familiar and we can respond?

In the bible, it is full of examples where believers have stood on the word of God with conviction in their hearts and the miraculous power in the word, was activated in their lives. I am only going to mention the two of them that I hold dear to my heart, because of the limited space in this blog;

Mark 5:25-34

25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Many of you are familiar with this story, but in context of what we have been discussing, this is just powerful. Verse 28 was her mustard seed of faith as described by Christ. What was deemed impossible for this woman was made possible. This woman purged her heart of the unbelief and disappointment from her attempts to be healed by man and placed her burden, in faith, on Christ’s shoulders. You may say, well where did the word of God play a part in this story? If you look at verse 27 the bible said she heard of Jesus, just like we all have and became believers. The rumors of Christ; He’s a healer, He’s the Son of God, He forgives sins, He has unimaginable wisdom and He performs miracles that seem impossible, was the word on which she based all her faith. Her unwavering belief in just touching his hem, brought forth the miracle of healing in her life. Consider the depth of her faith, she did’t need a word from Christ or to have Him lay his hands on her, she believed just a touch of his garment was sufficient.

The best part of this story is the fact that Christ was unaware of who touched him. He knew power left him to accomplish a task, but he was unaware whose faith his power was fulfilling. To me it shows the character of Christ which is the character of God. It’s as if He set his virtue to respond automatically to anyone who connects with him through Christ, providing that their belief has the faith for what they are requesting from him. Then I realised this weekend that the promises of God are predestined. They have already been provided for at the death and resurrection of Christ from the cross. God has already said yes to anything we ask for and believe we receive in the name of Jesus. That is why his power, his virtue appears to be set on auto.

Luke 10: 1-24

1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.

5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.

7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:

9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,

11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

13 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

14 But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.

15 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.

16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

I included a huge section of this chapter because there are several verses referenced, I believe need to be addressed in support of this blog. This event is a perfect example of what it looks like when a Christian walks in the light of the word of God. No doubts, no reservations, no leaning unto your own understanding, just obedience to the word of God. The disciples who were tasked by Christ to go forth and preach the Kingdom gospel, did so in conditions that most people would refuse. Christ commanded them to leave behind anything that they needed or could rely on for their basic necessities and protection. He sent them out as defensless lambs, an appropriate description, into cities and towns full of wolves. The only privilege they were allowed to carry with them was the word of Jesus Christ’s command and the teachings of the Kingdom gospel. This scripture prooves that a Christian walking in complete obedience and belief on the word of God, is walking in the light of the Kingdom, where everything you need is provided for without request. The power in God’s word responds to your requests, because the level of faith required is met through your belief and obedience. It is scripture that says “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and everything else will be added to you“.

In verse 17 above, you see where the disciples came back rejoicing over what they were able to accomplish with the power of the word, in Jesus’s name. They whole heartedly believed the Lord Jesus Christ and performed the miracles Jesus commanded them to do. They healed the sick, they cast out devils and they spread the gospel of the Kingdom, (the rule of God in the hearts of men). I love this scripture because it is proof that the word of God is true, in any age or lifetime. Some people say the expressed power of God in the form of miracles has deminished, because we have the Holy Spirit now and no longer need such signs. I say it has declined, because the evil principalities of this world, have created more crafty and suffisticated systems to infect the hearts of Christians, with doubt and false doctrine. This weakens Christians to lead lives in repetitive sin and disobedience. What is the major difference here? The disciples had the same word of Christ to go on, they believed and were successful. We now have the Holy Spirit, God in us, Christ righteousness upon us and yet we barely come close to expressing the Kingdom provision in our lives?

The Christian community is sick, suffering from an infection that targets our hearts. We need to wake up and stop hiding behind this victim mentality, born from the ideology of the principalities in this world. We are taught that things happen in life, we need to accept it and learn to live with the cards we are dealt. As long as we we are a victim, the power to change is taken out of our hands. This is why King David, who had every right to act as the victim, said to God;

Pslam 119: 9-14

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.

13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.

He knew that the source of his victory in life, was his complete faith in the word. We lean more to our own understanding or the wisdom of the world rather than the words of our Father in Heaven. Until we see the truth, that we need to address the doubts in our hearts, we will never completely walk in the light of the word. We will continue to struggle in sin and disobedience. The doubt is what causes us the worry, that leads to us acting on our own without God, which ends in sin because we are reliant on worldly wisdom and fleshly emotions.

Conclusion:

Okay so we’ve explored this topic in depth and have proven that some of us bretheren have a heart disease. Our hearts are infected with doubt that has crippled the effectiveness of our testimony and the preaching of Kingdom Gospel on this earth. So the good news. Like everything else in our lives, the word has provided us with an antidote, actually a cure for this infection. It was given to us by Apostle Paul;

2 Corinthians 10: 3-6

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

The strongholds are the doubts, that infect us and we allow to grow in our hearts. They eventually restrain us mentally, from operating with the Kingdom mindset. Notice in the verse above, the Apostle said the battle is not be fought with our flesh. There is no power for us as Christians in our flesh, it resides in the word of God. The power in God’s word, is to be directed at the source of all your issues, not the carnal symptoms you see. The demonic and evil systems are the source of what creates these strongholds, to entrap our brother’s and sisters as well as unbelievers. Consider where Apostle Paul mentioned these strongholds can exist? Imaginations and thoughts, both things that exist in the mind and heart. The deceiver did not physically attack Adam and Eve, he infected their minds with doubt, which when left unchecked with the word of God, leads to sin and disobedience. How can I know this? Compare the results of the encounters with the deceiver and Adam(1st of humanity), then with Jesus(1st begotten Son of God).  Adam and Eve’s response was to ponder on the doubt sown in their hearts, trying to make sense of it with their own understanding and they failed. Christ responded to the deceiver with the truth of God’s word nothing more, casting down the contrary imaginations and knowledge that the deceiver attempted to use as bribery and doubt. He was successful. Christ trusted the word of God over what the deceiver was selling, Adam and Eve didn’t.

The cure is purging our mind, heart, ideology, convictions and beliefs of anything that the deceiver has sold us and we believed. You will know what they are, because they will contradict the promises God declared in his word over your life as a believer. The first step is searching our hearts for everything we believe and hold dear, to make sure they align with the word of God. Knowing the word is pivotal in this process, so begin googling the verses that relate to your situation. Learn them and read the chapters they are found in to gain understanding of their context and meaning. Eventually you would have read many chapters in the bible and would be filled in your heart with power packed words from God. Words you can use to defend against infectious attacks of doubt and temptation to disobey, just as Christ did. Slowly you will notice an increase in your faith, spiritual strength and a desire to know more of God’s word. You will become less shaken by circumstances surrounding you and quicker to look to God for wisdom, rather than lean unto your own understanding. This process is written all over the bible, but its the simple things that we miss. I know I did for years as a weak, cowardly and powerless Christian, but now I am growing in faith ever closer to the Kingdom, following this process.

NB: The bible says in Ephesianns we should put on the whole armor of God. This includes the shield of Faith to quench the fiery arrows shot at us in spiritual warefare. Can you see now why the deceiver’s key attack is to infect our hearts with doubt as Christians? If he succeeds, the infection directly weakens our faith in the word, which is our shield, leaving us defensless to the his arrows. We take damage he conquers more ground in our minds, our homes, societies and countries. We must fight smarter!

We rely too heavily on a preacher, to teach us irrelevant sermons that have nothing to do with the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom was the number one topic for our Lord Jesus Christ, while he was here on earth. We need to seek our Father’s wisdom for ourselves in the bible. Hide the knowledge and understanding of his word in our hearts and build our convictions of faith from them. At no point am I discrediting the importance of pastors, I have sat under the teachings of many great pastors some already dead, others still alive. (A pastor should use his gift to enlighten your soul with understanding and knowledge of the scriptures as it pertains to the Kingdom of God. They should be rooted in the word, leaving you challenged to grow closer to God and get deaper in his word yourself. Their goal should be constantly pointing to the King and his word, not to themselves.)  They can help you grow, but the Holy Spirit should be your number one teacher. Christ says call no man a Rabbi or Father, because he knew the Holy Spirit was intended to take the place of teacher in our lives and our Father is in Heaven.

Now that you know how sick you may be or your fellow brother’s in Christ, pray a prayer of repentance and get to work. Begin treating your infection of doubt with the word of God. It is the most powerful disinfectant for heart infections. Replacing all the lies you believed with the promises of God. Then reach out to your neighbors and friends, because just as doubt is infectious so is faith. So speak the word of God you’ve learned to your bretherin, so their faith may be built up and the Kingdom can begin to function in them as well. Remember God cannot use us for the impossible, if we lack faith.
